Highlights of programmes/events of CCA this year

The National Cadet Corps (NCC) Girls’ unit aims to develop responsible and resilient leaders and team players through fun and challenging military-related activities. This year, the NCC Girls’ unit reached out to the community through Values in Action (VIA) activities. The Junior cadets joined a local non-profit organisation, the Kidney Dialysis Foundation (KDF), in adopting pledge cards to raise money for needy kidney patients and the low-income elderly. The Senior Cadets are working with Public Hygiene Council in cleaning the East Coast beach to support the ‘Keep Clean, Singapore!’ (KCS) 2018 movement. The Cadet Leaders are also working with Angsana Primary School in teaching the Scouts and Red Cross cadets marching drills in conjunction with National Day. In addition, the unit achieved the silver award for the Best Unit Competition for 2017. One of the Senior Cadet Leaders, Nur Majdah Bte Aminuddin, has been awarded Outstanding Cadet Award 2018. The Freestyle Drill team has also clinched 2nd position in the 10th NCC Freestyle Drill Competition 2018 (East District).
