Home-Based Learning (HBL)

One Day Home-Based Learning (HBL)

In light of the developing COVID-19 situation in Singapore, from April 2020, all MOE schools will implement one day of Home-Based Learning (HBL) a week. This will help prepare us for an extended period of HBL should the need arises, so that our students can continue with their learning. Our school will be conducting HBL on Thursdays, starting from 2 April, 2020. In the event that the day of HBL falls on a public holiday, there will be no make for HBL on another day. Classroom lessons will still proceed as usual on the other days of the week.

HBL is intended to ensure the continuity of curriculum in the event of school closure. Teachers will be engaging students meaningfully by conducting online and/or offline lessons. At Bedok View, we will use the Student Learning Space (SLS) as a common learning platform for HBL. Bedok Viewans have been briefed on how to prepare for HBL and the expectations during the HBL.
